With further international radio support from Roger Sanchez of ‘Hoop’ and his forthcoming, ‘Living In Motion’, 2015 looks set to be even bigger for the London based deep house DJ and producer. Known for his ability to tear up dancefloors across the world, especially after having recently played to a 7000 strong crowd at Leeds Festival, has even been coined by the esteemed Gilles Peterson as “...one of the next generation heads who understands where it’s coming from and has a vision of where to take it”. Brought up on a diet of vinyl, squat parties & pirate radio in the 90s, Lex Luca hosts his own weekly radio show, ‘In Tune’ on London’s World famous HouseFM, which has been reaching the number one position on the Mixcloud Charts. Lex Luca has honed his craft, learning directly from some of the most successful names in the industry. He spent over 7 years at BBC Radio 1 producing an impressive roster of shows such as Gilles Peterson, the Essential Mix, Judge Jules, Jaymo & Andy George, Heidi and Eddie Halliwell amongst others, Last year saw the release of Lex Luca’s debut production on Australia’s biggest label, Vicious. His remix of Jaguar Skills’, ‘Hamburger’ produced in a collaboration project called Shockbox alongside Miles Wyde, gained strong recognition. As a result of his well trained ear and love of house music, Lex has DJ’d all around the world from London, Berlin and Ibiza to Mexico, Japan, Costa Rica, Australia, Croatia and Malawi - supporting some of the biggest names in the industry such as Dubfire, Roger Sanchez, Coyu, Laurent Garnier and Gilles Peterson to name a few. As well as headlining the biggest New Year’s Eve beach party (Coco Loco) in Costa Rica, attended by over 2000 people, Lex has also played at the likes of Isle of Wight, Worldwide festival, V- festival & The Garden Festival, Lex also used to run the seminal Itchysoul parties, booking guests from Rahaan to John Morales, Kenny Hawkes to Justin Robertson. Whenever he's behind the turntables, Lex Luca consistently impresses the crowd with his own blend of deep and underground house music, jackin’ grooves and basslines that keep the dancefloor bouncing.
