UKIYO (Falling In Love With Japan) - JNTO x Theobald Fox

Published by Matt Purdon

  • 1 credits

In mid 2017, Theobald Fox partnered with the Japanese National Tourist Organisation to produce a series of seven promotional films, each exploring a different 'untranslatable' word or feeling; something only understandable by visiting the country. From JNTO; "Shot in Osaka and Kyoto, on the Shima Peninsula in Mie – home of the famous Ama pearl divers – and the mountain trails of the Kii Peninsula in Wakayama – which was recently named one of the top five regions to visit in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2018 – the immersive films allow viewers to take a walk through the world of real Japan. There are no clichés, just authentic experiences expressed through scenes of daily life." Created and directed by myself, filmed and cut with Dan Bassett. #destinationmarketing #film #shortfilm #documentary #travel
