How will I be paid for a project?
We currently use PayPal to send payments for projects. We are looking to add alternative payment methods in the near future. You are paid on completion of a project. All clients have to validate their payment before they start working with you.
Does Twine charge a fee to work on projects?
No, there are no fees to sign up to Twine or pitch on projects.
Do I have to pay anything upfront?
No, if you are not a Pro user then Twine is 100% free, including pitching on projects. Every pitch requires a deposit and this will be held by Twine when your pitch is accepted.
How do deposits work?
When you agree to work with a client and they hire you, they will need to pay the pre-agreed deposit, which will be 10, 25 or 50% of the project total. Twine holds on to this deposit and only releases it to you with the final payment once the project is completed.
What if the project does not work out?
If the work has not been started then we will refund the whole deposit payment to the client. If you have completed the project and fulfilled the specification you agreed upon with the client, we would expect the client to pay the full amount. If the project is part completed, we would recommend that you come to an agreement with your client on how much they pay depending on the amount of work they have done. If there are any issues, the Twine team are here to help.
Can you be hired on a day rate?
At the moment, this is only supported with Twine Enterprise clients. We recommend you calculate a pitch based on the length of time that it will take you to complete it and your usual day rate.
Can I cancel a Pro subscription?
Yes, of course. You can cancel at any time on the monthly or annual subscription. Your account will still be active until the billing cycle you already paid for ends.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards.
How will I be billed for Pro?
We will start billing your credit card on a monthly basis after your purchase. You can cancel your subscription any time.
