1. A brief description of your business

We started selling to teachers and schools and now we sell to universities and corporations too. We want a logo to span across those industries, that can be taken seriously by universities and higher education organizations but is still friendly and has personality from our K-12 school roots.

We sell a video platform to add questions and interactions into online videos (like YouTube); as students are watching, the video pauses and shows them a question or annotation they have to respond to before continuing. Instructors get detailed analytics on learner responses and can keep learners more deeply engaged and accountable to the material.

It needs to work for a white background and a blue background

We’re looking to improve upon that. It must include the dachshund wiener dog (google if you’re curious which dog this is). It must show we are a video (and preferably interactive video) solution. 1. I wish the dog was more incorporated into the logo-currently an onlooker. One idea we had was to make a more geometric dog with the ear as a play icon.
2. We need to figure out the height/dimensions of the play triangle icon. We want to balance between negative space ‘A’ (it’s sideways), the play icon (the actual triangle), and ‘PL’ versus ‘Y’ placement, since PL is two letters and Y is only 1. Also, do we want to use the L as part of the play icon to balance the P and Y text inside the player rectangle?
3. I like the vertical line in the play icon representing the breaking up of a traditional video by interactions/questions.
4. I wish the dog was friendlier and more humanized/had personality; we want the platform to feel friendly and approachable, even though video annotations and editing sounds overwhelming.
5. I’m torn on the Swatch It text and not fully tied to it.
6. We need the play icon most definitely. We need ‘posit’ to be easy to read, since people don’t know the word. We need the dachshund wiener dog because users love it.
