Hi everyone, I have a specific sound I want to achieve
I am a guitar player, I have been playing guitar for 16 years. I have been trying to get a certain tone that I can’t seem to get no matter what. The individual notes sound so unique. The guys who have it play through out dated equipment and old gain boosts in their guitars. I literally went on ebay, paid a lot of money for the same gear and the tone is still not the same. I recently found a guy on that achieved this tone using AxeFX 2 software. I messaged him and he replied by saying it was not a very easy tone to get, and that he used an ENGL savage setting on AxeFX which he never expected to work, so he said he can’t give me any advice. I would like to attach a sound clip of what it sounds like. I have tried everything I can think of. The tone sounds sort of slanted, kind of like a cocked wah pedal but not quite. A friend told me that I might be able to get it with a wah pedal, so I bought a wah pedal and messed with it for days. This tone is very very unique. But I know that it is possible to get somehow. I just cant figure out what causes it to sound this way. I will try to attach an audio clip of it also. I dont know how much work it will take to figure it out but I can afford to hire a real expert in this if I need to. Can anyone help?
