Graphic Designer + Deputy Editor

At My Child Magazine Australia, our goal is to help parents tackle the challenges and joys of parenting with wholesome, insightful and practical advice with a touch of humour!

I’m looking for a team member to join on a full-time basis (38-40hrs per week) to assist with the day to day management of the publication including social media, emails reply’s, comps etc as well as collate the monthly publication.

being a small business, I need a person with a go-getter attitude that isn’t afraid of hard work and will treat the business as their own as we will be a small team. The candidate will need to be available to work Australian AEST hrs 10 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and be available to talk on the phone during business hrs. I am looking for someone that will be proactive and find solutions to help improve the overall business operating.

Duties included but are not limited to:

• Magazine Layout and Creation using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

• Social Media Management including video editing

• Website Management

• Competitions Coordinator

• Advertisers Coordinator

• Emails Coordinator

• Other Duties will include:

• Co-ordinate Emails to the database using MailChimp
• Research articles topics and prepares articles around parenting topics
• Populate article topics for the editorial calendar
• Source imagery for image library
