actor for cultural short film

Hello Actors,

We are looking for a male actor (playing age 60 - 70) with an old, wise, and slightly eccentric expression. White hair is a plus, but is not a must-have. Alert bright eyes, paired with strong workman’s hands are just as important as a charismatic, almost intimidating bearing.

About the project: We are producing a scenic short film for the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The actor will play the narrator of the film. The character is an old working man on the fringe of society. He is isolated, shaped by living in a continually impoverishing community. Fears and prejudices are more familiar to him than openness and kindness. His only passions: conspiracy theories about aliens and his 1970 Chevrolet pick-up truck. Over the course of the film he makes his way out of this and develops into an open peaceful man. We will use the actor only for mood pictures, adding a voiceover that narrates the inner monologue of the man in post-production.
