Choreographer
I am directing a musical in a high school and need a choreographer. The choreographer is expected to:
Read and study story lines and musical scores to determine how to translate ideas and moods into dance movements.
Instruct dancers in how to use dance steps, and in techniques to achieve desired effects within rehearsals.
Advise dancers on how to stand and move properly, teaching correct dance techniques to help prevent injuries.
Coordinate production music with the musical director.
To a small extent as as far as it relates with the dancing, help to design sets, lighting, costumes, and other artistic elements of productions, in collaboration with cast members.
I am looking for a highly creative and resourceful individual with attention to detail and an attitude of excellence.
