Job Description

• Job title: Freelance Graphic Designer
• Dates of employment: January – February 2019
• Hours: Tuesday – Friday, 10 am – 5 pm
• Location: On-site at Carton’s office in Los Angeles
• Compensation: $20/hour

Responsibilities
The Freelance Designer will work with the founder and/or other employees on a variety of design projects, which may include product design, web ads, logo design, developing graphics/silhouettes, along with marketing materials. The candidate must be ready and willing to take on a wide variety of projects and back up other team members, as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Have attended or graduated from a college graphic or fashion-design program
• Provide a portfolio of 7-12 projects that demonstrate applicant’s graphic design/fashion skills
• Be extremely organized and detail-oriented; able to work in a shared environment; and, thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Photoshop and Illustrator
• Possess intuition and an eye for color, fashion, pop-culture, art, music, and design
• Be familiar with current social media trends and be able to deliver fresh graphics that are consistent with those trends
• Collaborate well with others and feel comfortable both taking the lead and following directions, depending on the project’s needs
