The Naugatuck Historical Society seeks a freelance designer for a permanent history exhibit to be installed in Naugatuck’s 1881 Tuttle House. This well-preserved Victorian mansion will be the society’s new home beginning late 2019 or early 2020.

We are looking for a creative thinker who can help conceptualize the exhibit design, provide floor plans, and find innovative ways to integrate historic furnishings and displays that will complement the house’s exceptional 19th-century interior finishes. Responsibilities will also include oversight of fabrication and lighting and consultation on graphics and interactive media. The designer will work closely with the exhibit curator and collections manager.
