Draftsperson in New York, NY, USA

Integra Development Group, a nation design-build firm providing cutting-edge, innovative design and top quality general contracting seeks a Draftsperson to support our growing business. The ideal candidate will have architectural drafting experience with healthcare (clinics, hospitals, senior living, etc.) and/or hospitality and corporate projects. The Draftsperson should be a well-rounded individual who has both the ability and experience to work from concept phase through construction administration. The position is located in Brooklyn and reports to the Director of Design.

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: Prepare as built drawings based on site inspection and measurements, Prepare drawings from very complex sketches, notes, details and/or verbal instructions, Analyze information available to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings, and Production of detailed construction drawings and documents (Floor plans, elevations, RCP, details and sections) from designers’ concepts and specifications. We seek candidates who are positive and motivated, eager to collaborate with colleagues, skilled at giving and receiving feedback, and open to travel.

Collaboration:

This position would be within the Design Team at Integra Development Group, working closely with the Director of Design and other members of the team. The Design Team, in turn, collaborates with other teams within the company to bring projects to completion.

Software Skills:

• AutoCad
• Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook

Minimum Requirements:

• Associates degree or higher in architectural drafting or similar discipline.
• Proficient in of AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook.
• Have knowledge of basic construction.
• Possess understanding of building construction technology.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Have ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
