As a Freelance Copywriter, you will execute on content projects in all forms to drive growth of new and existing business. You will be an expert in all things related to writing, editing, content, creativity, and brand consistency.
This role can be remote OR out of our Morristown, NJ headquarters. If remote, you should be driving distance to Morristown, NJ just in case there is a rare need for you to make an appearance at HQ.
Our Freelance Copywriter will be leveraged on a project basis but will be paid hourly. This role has the potential to grow into a part or full time salaried position if you’re a great fit, we have a need, and you would like the opportunity.

- Educate, challenge, inspire, and entertain our guests through your work
- Execute nimbly and clearly to avoid dense, confusing, or jargon-heavy content
- Leverage your clever, witty sense of humor to ensure content is both educational and digestible
- Ensure content is reflective of PerformLine’s voice
WHO YOU ARE
- Self-motivated, curious, quick, witty and relentlessly creative
- Comfortable delivering consistently high-quality work within short or flexible timelines
- Humble, radically candid, and open to feedback
WHAT YOU BRING
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, writing, or content creation
- A portfolio of work demonstrating ideas and copy across various media, including digital
- The ability to understand complicated technical concepts and make them sound, well, a little less technical and a little more human
- Project management skills to keep us on track to hit deadlines within the company and ongoing campaigns
- Great powers of persuasion and presentation
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
