Digital Copywriter in Portland

Our in-house marketing department are looking for a freelance digital copywriter to work alongside our marketing team to create search-friendly content for our new website. With a creative mind, you will produce clear, concise copy to engage our target audiences.

What we are looking for:

• Fresh content for 100 prioritised pages on our new website. These will include key landing pages, blog posts and content pages, each with approx. 400-800 words
• Concise, high-quality, unique content written using plain English to outline the unique work Agincare does, rather than producing generic copy. This can be based on our existing copy, but needs to be completely re-written, liaising with relevant internal staff as required
• Copy needs to be optimised for digital channels, including mobile, e.g. short sentences, sub-headings, bullet lists, clear calls to action etc
• Need to write in such a way that encourages structured snippets & other Knowledge Graph attributes to appear in search results
• Copy needs to be grounded in keyword research to aid SEO and to ensure we are providing quality content that answers user queries. Please outline in your covering letter how you would undertake this research and how you would use the results in your written work to maximise SEO

The person
You will be reliable, self-motivated and experienced with a positive, can-do attitude. You will be full of enthusiasm, with the ability to work quickly and accurately under strict deadlines by prioritising effectively.

A demonstrable interest in social care would be advantageous and the perfect candidate would have copywriting experience in this sector.
