Product/Graphic Designer in Manhattan, NY, USA
Creative firm in the Flatiron district seeks experienced candidates interested in designing/developing products for the museum gift shop industry.
We are a full service product design and development firm, specializing in the production of retail gift products for the museum world, as well as private label and licensed programs in fashion accessories, corporate gifts and premium items.
This position will require the candidate to:
- Develop designs and repeat patterns inspired by famous works of art
- Preparation of artwork for client presentations
- Create tech packs and production files for overseas factories
- Help review lab dips and production samples arriving from factories
- Be creative and have a good sense of color
- Have experience and knowledge of working with Pantone color guides
- Participate in “brainstorming” sessions with good verbal skills in English
- Communicate daily with the business owner & product team
- Design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Ideal candidate(s) will have a Bachelor’s Degree in art; be very organized and detail oriented; have good interpersonal skills, as well as a strong ability to multi-task while designing for several clients simultaneously; and have immediate availability.
Three or more years of related product design work will be considered a plus, as well as some knowledge of print methods.
