Brand Designer

The Digital Services Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of digital creative programs designed to build brand awareness and achieve annual operating plan profit and volume. The role requires understanding of the technology, systems and tools used in digital marketing, along with strong project management skills. A large portion of time will be spent managing multiple digital projects to include website image and copy updates, social media creative development, ecommerce content, email campaigns and overall website maintenance.

  • Collaborate with marketers and our agencies to ensure best practices are followed throughout program creation and implementation, from visual design, user experience, creative development and measurement/analysis
  • Manage multiple website projects for CPD and corporate careers
  • Mentor and develop the Graphic Designers to build digital creative capabilities within department.
  • Produce monthly social creative content through management of our internal creative team, agency team and creative freelance network
  • Develop and optimize ecommerce content. Work with sales and marketing to prioritize content needs by retailer.
  • Utilize ecommerce product content management system and retailer portals to provide ecommerce content to retailers
  • Develop email campaigns that connect to CRM strategy
  • Develop and implement search engine optimization strategies through direct communication with the agencies
  • Create content, copy, and metadata within Content Management Systems to optimize websites
  • Working knowledge of HTML, structured data, and UX/UI
  • Manage and maintain time lines, approvals, quality and consistency in digital communication projects
  • Oversee backend website updates with external agencies to include security updates, major structural changes, and troubleshooting issues
  • Attend additional training and conferences as necessary to stay up to speed on technology and best practices and educate entire marketing team on digital creative advancements
  • Work proactively with departments across the organization to explore and identify ways to leverage digital creative to help support department campaigns, initiatives, goals and revenue objectives
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage 1 Graphic Designer to facilitate successful development of personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. 5 years of experience, with experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge.
  • Experience using multiple content management systems
  • Experience with creating and identifying quality digital creative related to CPG is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Macintosh computer hardware and software. - Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign software as well as Internet usage/navigating. iMovie knowledge a plus. Utilize FTP sites.
  • Use of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines using strong organization and time management skills.
  • Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage vendor relationship with key partners
  • Ability to thrive in the Agile methodology of short development cycles and constant testing. The focus will be testing combinations of targeting tactics, creative formats, and technologies to gain learnings that will feed into the development cycle.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
