Marketing in Orlando, FL, USA

Digital Marketer

We are looking for a passionate marketer to help us grow at PowerDETAILS. We’re a casual tech company based in Downtown Orlando serving our customers from Seattle to Key West with our software. Send us a note if you’d like more info on us - we’re pretty transparent, no question/topic is off the table.

The Job
We’ll do a little bit of everything. Our hope is that you’ll learn a ton of stuff you don’t know - and sharpen the tools you already have. We don’t know exactly what you’ll end up working on over the next year or so, some of that is up to what you’re good at, what we will need from you at the time, and what you want to learn. However, here is some of what we’ll lean on you for (don’t worry if some of this is not in your current wheelhouse, we’ll be happy to train you):

  • Copywriting (we periodically write blogs, white papers, advertisements, emails, and other content)- Ad Campaigns (we run Facebook and google ads)
  • Email Campaigns (we run newsletters, email blasts, drip campaigns)
  • Webinar campaign ideation and execution
  • Customer interviews
  • CRM updates (we use Salesforce)
  • Lead research and sourcing
  • ABM/account-based marketing (We have some big target companies we want to work with, which requires marketing directly to their employees in experimental ways)
  • Conference research and logistics (help us decide which conferences to attend, and help us as we set up the logistics before and after the conference)
  • Market research (If you like doing data or research, you’ll love this)

We would like to see a mixture of some of the following qualities in applicants

  • Excellent writing skills (you’ll write a lot of industry-facing copy and internal memos/emails)
  • Experience generating content such as press releases, blog posts, email copy, marketing imagery, etc.,
  • Willing to experiment with and try various distribution channels to generate leads
  • Is not afraid to learn something new
  • Is not afraid to fail, a lot
  • Is resilient and gritty (failure happens often)
  • Is not afraid to admit something did not work and move on to a new tactic or iteration of the previous tactic
  • Makes decisions based on a lot of data and a little intuition
  • Takes direction well
  • Communicates effectively and transparently with their team
  • Craves/seeks feedback, and course corrects based upon it
  • Speaks honestly and shares personal opinions/preference with authority
  • If you don’t already know you’re alphabet soup, then here’s some of what you’ll learn about and possibly be responsible for: SEO, UTMs, appropriate use of a CRM and CMS, how to craft a great CTA, how to build campaigns with an MVP in mind, how to ultimately drive conversions that grow our ARR, how to track and trasnparently communicate KPIs, running a PPC campaign, how to drive down our CPC, how to increase your/our CTR, what it means to be a SaaS company, how to drive down the CAC, B2B vs B2C mesaging.
  • You’ll have access to Salesforce, Google Drive (incl sheets, forms, presentations, docs), Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Google Calendar, Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, Replyapp.io, Intercom or Purechat, Facebook Ads, possibly Unbounce and leadpages, GoToMeeting / GoToWebinar, Emailhunter, Wordpress, Trello, Adobe CreativeCloud, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft powerpoint, and other systems we have yet to add to our suite of technology.

  • Health/dental insurance

  • Periodic team lunches and happy hours
  • Work from home every Friday (after first few weeks of training)

Requirements

  • Educational degree/certificates are not important but share with us what you studied and why. If it’s pertinent to your work as a marketer, let us know how. If it’s pertinent to a current or previous interest/hobby of yours, feel free to tell us a bit about it.
  • Ability to work from our Downtown Orlando office, or a mixture of both.
  • Some direct experience in a marketing role, or in a field tangentially-related to marketing (copywriting, research, journalism, etc.,).
