DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Chief Architect, the incumbent will be engaged in building innovative products and interface directly with front-line Business Analysts. This individual will develop and maintain cloud-enabled technologies using creative methods of problem solving and implementation of common design patterns.

An ideal back-end developer will be a self-starter, curious, energetic, and be able to work with limited supervision. Being able to understand business needs and relate it to appropriately applied technology is an essential attribute that any strong candidate must possess.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop back-end components that meet user interface requirements
• Design and implement the core technology required for more complex features
• Use server-side programming languages to provide value to users
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of PHP
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs
• Strong knowledge of common frameworks
• Understanding of XML, JSON, and AJAX
• Cloud stack fundamentals
• Understanding of NoSQL databases
• Basic understanding of architecture
• OO design patterns
• Excellent communication skills

EDUCATION
3-5 years of back-end software development experience and an undergraduate degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
