Film Score for Short Film

Hello, my name is Deante’ Gray. I’m a freelance filmmaker and current Masters student at New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA.

I’ve just finished shooting my thesis film and I’m looking to develop a collaborative relationship with a film composer. For my film, I only see one scene possibly needing a score (the last), maybe two.

I’m looking for a Nicholas Brittle type score similar to what he did in Moonlight to enhance the emotional peak of my story.

A brief synopsis of my film:

Loving Byron:

Loving follows the story of Byron Williams, an African American teenage boy​ who has run away from his hometown of Compton with his longtime girlfriend Rachel. After Rachel’s unexpected pregnancy the urgency to make money is at an all-time high. His unsatisfactory job and the sudden appearance of someone from his past lead’s Byron to consider how far he is willing to go to provide for the love of his life.
