Storyboard Artist / Graphic Designer

Storyboard Artist
Budget £1,000

A graphic designer? “Oh you’re one of those ‘creative types’”. There should be one for accountants. “Oooh your one of those numbers droids”. Anyway, back to the advert. We are looking for top notch graphic designers with a penchant for storyboarding to join our ‘creative’ team. Fortunately, we’re not all beanbag chairs and Fußball tables. We make learning content. And we’re damn good at it too. You’d get to work with some of the best talents around. So, you’d better be good at what you do, and passionate.

Of course being a ‘creative type’ you will need a solid background in the Adobe suite – Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop, etc. But before any of that are ideas. You will have loads of them. But you will know how to take them from concept or ‘brainstorm’ to fruition. You’ll ideally be able to draw because there’s a fair bit of storyboarding to do and have a keen graphic design eye for detail. That includes branding principles, layout, UI and UX type stuff. If you’ve got motion graphics and a web design background, lovely stuff.

If you think you’re the ‘one’ then there are a few essentials we need you to have: -

• Have a top portfolio you are truly proud to show
• Be an amazing communicator both visually and written
• Be able to express yourself in concept and brainstorm sessions
• Strong typographical/compositional skills
• Know about, and talk about creative trends
• Fully conversant in Adobe CC PSD, AI and INDD
• Demonstrate flexibility to work with different styles, both contemporary and traditional; hand drawn, painted, as well as graphic and contemporary.
• You should have the ability to work in a team, as well as on your own initiative.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure is essential.

So if your thing is wearing berets and drinking half-tall, no logo in the foam, vegan-milk flat whites… mmm. But you’ll be enthusiastic and be passionate about what you do.

Because we all do.

P.s Think of this as more like a storyboarding job, than a graphic designer!
