We are seeking an experienced film editor to help support our regular clientele. The position requires you to have your own computer and software and the ability to work autonomously. We expect that you look at all filmed material and choose only the best for each video.We film a lot of two RED camera interviews but you should have experience editing all types of commercial film work. The position would be a contract position where you are hired per edit job needed. We get a good amount of work to keep you busy and make money.
Requirements listed below, please do not apply if you do not have these skills/abilities:
-Medium to advanced color grading (send some examples)
-Advanced sound editing- candidate needs to have solid experience correcting for hissing audio, clicks or rubbing sounds etc.
-Must have the ability to focus and get projects done under tight deadlines, even working after hours or on weekends. Our clients have deadlines and we need to make sure we meet them. Our editors must sometimes work around the clock to get the job done on time.
-Must have a computer that is fast enough to edit two RED angles with out crashing.
-Good at building stories- our perfect candidate looks for the best content in what is filmed from the interviews to the broll, but also looks at the bigger picture, how is the story being shown? A good editor exports a video that makes sense, an great editor exports a video that makes people act, makes a compelling story that moves people emotionally. The film is made by the editor, in post, own it.
