Tate received his Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in 1996 from Carnegie-Mellon University and his Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2004 from the Florida Institute of Technology. Tate has been working with adults and children with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism since 1997. Tate has practiced Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in settings such as: early intervention clinics, day programs, forensic and psychiatric settings, ICF developmental facilities, schools, and in private consulting in Los Angeles, CA., Melbourne FL, Orlando FL.& the Tampa Bay FL. area. Tate has extensive experience providing Verbal Behavior Assessments and Treatment (VBMAPP and ABLLS-R programs) to young children with Autism. He has enjoyed teaching and mentoring others in ABA, having opportunities that include international experience traveling to & training Psychiatrists on ABA Autism Treatment in Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina & Zagreb, Croatia in 2014. Tate also teaches academically as an Adjunct Professor with the University of Florida in the Pediatric Integrated Care program and has taught as a Co-Instructor for the Florida Institute of Technology's ABA Professional Development Program. Tate was appointed and served two terms on the Local Review Committee for Pinellas County from 2005-2009 as he has been invited to present at the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis (FABA) Conference Tate has been active within the Suncoast Region certifying Behavior Assistants since 2006 and most recently with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) instructing and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians across the country. In 2012, Tate joined the Littke & Associates ABA Therapy Inc. team as a BCBA providing home & community ABA therapy and established and co-owned Behavioral Treatment of Tampa Bay (BTTB) to provide clinical treatment to young children diagnosed with Autism. Today that vision of a clinical approach to Autism treatment continues with Skyway Behavior Center. Tate is the proud father of two children, Miles and Scarlett and beautiful wife, Venus. Tate is a sports enthusiast, enjoys the arts including music, film and writing, time at the beach and travel whenever possible.
