Ackrid, without a doubt is one of the most versatile acts, out there. Specializing in House, Tech House and Deep House, Ackrid also loves to play various other genres such as Nu-Disco, Electro House & Progressive House. When we say Electro House & Progressive House we are not talking about the Big Room and EDM sound. Ackrid plays tracks from various non-commercial artists, giving something new to the audience, every time. There are really few people who use music as a weapon to bring a change. Ackrid is definitely one of them. Ackrid is one half of the duo behind the revolutionary Spirit Podcast initiative, who has managed to bring a change in impression among the young crowd when it comes to Dance Music. Spirit Podcast is currently the longest and the most heard podcast in Doha - Qatar. Ackrid has worked with a lot of big names such as Helium Project, WAtec (Whosane! & Anastas!a), Zaeden, Jayant/Jitter, B.L.O.T! (Basic Love Of Things), Audio Units, Praveen Achary, Tapan Raj (Midival Punditz), Jared McCulloch, Nawed Khan & maDJam. Ackrid has performed at quite a few venues in Doha and Mumbai some of them being Sealine Beach Resort (Qatar), Mariott Hotel (Qatar), Club Seven, La Cigale (Qatar), Club D’Illusion (Qatar), Club Ranchos (Qatar), Ibar (Mumbai, India) & has held a 7 month residency at He Said She Said (Mumbai, India). Ackrid barged into the production scene when he decided to create a bootleg remix of “Faded” by Zhu. His bootleg was supported by a lot of DJs, globally. The bootleg was also featured on QBS Radio 97.5 by Joe Mitri (QBS Radio DJ/Presenter). He also has a few mash-ups on his name. His mashups have been downloaded nearly 10,000 times on livingelectro.com. Ackrid is currently working on a 4 track EP which is currently under process as we speak. When it gets to playing live, Ackrid likes to think that he holds no boundaries. He is influenced by tons of artists going to different musical styles, which also speculates in a portion of his oeuvre.
