    uniE608 Photoscoper
David Roberts, the founder of passion project Photoscoper, has been a self-proclaimed ametuer photographer for many years. His work has been seen in newspapers, on billboards, public transport and has won countless awards. I approached the website with a push toward something being more of an experience, with some experimental features like webgl and a really neat way to looking through his gallery. The experience is made to grab your attention and pull you in to the galleries. A series of animations and effects make this experience quite unique. I added a buying experience for purchasing selected photos and also made it possible to take a journey with David on an experience day in South Yorkshire. Every piece of functionality is hand coded by me, using React, Gatsby, a custom made front-end grid framework, with DatoCMS on the backend and Snipcart for eCommerce. This is also a project where I get to fully experiment, implement sound effects and more. It has over 150mb of imagery on the site, but still remains performant. This project has also won an FWA Site of the Day, Honorable Mention from Awwwards and 4 additional awards from CSSDA. You can check it out live at https://www.twine.net/signin
    uniE608 Seek
Seek Private Capital offer investment opportunities in game-changing businesses from founding to IPO, with a focus on software, internet, climate and crypto. The goal was to rethink their global brand image and create an informational website for their customers. Through extensive research, competitor analysis and 3 workshops, I first identified the visual symbol that would encompass the idea of the flow and direction of money. Then it was developed into a visual identity while keeping in mind the potential new sectors of the company; A visual language was formed specifically to help Seek stand out beyond their competitors and take them to new heights. I created the first-of-its-kind interactive prototype of their brand guidelines, which is now included in my brand offering. The primary component to this project was that the website was just a portal, a small window in to finding out more about Seek and the team; specifically for customers that already know them. The approach was a little unorthodox from the norm, as you’d expect call to actions, forms, you name it. But not for them, that wasn’t the goal. They wanted something different, like a digital billboard of information, which would immediately show that they're a global competitor in the VC world. I took this opportunity to be developmentally creative. Writing custom WebGL for an animated globe and inserted some subtle mouse interactions. Keeping it simple and performant. Then I developed this single-page website using React & GatsbyJS with DatoCMS as a headless backend.
    uniE608 Retreater
Here's a preview of a small design project I got involved with, giving the digital presence a facelift while making upgrades to the user experience for various points; 1. Finding retreats quicker. 2. Trusting the retreater brand and it's offering. 3. Gear it more towards a market place rather than a service provider, but still give that concierge level of service. 4. Feel fresh, modern and invited to explore retreats on a global scale.
    uniE621 Urban Jungle
One of my first and favourite projects at Fortnight was Urban Jungle, the UK's number 1 exotic pet shop based in Manchester. I had the pleasure to create the experience and UI design for the website, as well as research the technical side of how it would work. The project itself had a steep learning curve for me personally and this is because I had only recently at the time, started learning React using Gatsby. Thinking about it, it's probably my first ever "web development" project using a modern stack and with only a couple days of research I headed in a direction unknown to me, but I had successfully managed to fully develop a "static ecommerce website" using Gatsby, with DatoCMS and Shopify as a headless data source and payment processor. Hopefully the website will be launched in the near future, but for now, here's a teaser and I'll be posting some more shortly.
    uniE621 Maria Akerberg
I was hired by a london agency to be the UI designer on this project. Working with strategists and UX researchers, we developed the eCommerce experience for the Maria Akerberg skincare brand.
