Being exposed to classic Disco, 70’s & 80’s Dance Music in his home town of Sydenham Durban KZN gave Brett James a strong music presence. In his youth, he was musically influenced by his community. Brett James relocated to Johannesburg in 2003 where his love for house music was and enhanced. In 2004 he started playing in small clubs and in bars. In Yeoville, Johannesburg. That is where his DJ career progressed. He moved to live in Midrand in 2006. He categorized his sound as deep house henceforth. Brett has played at some of Johannesburg’s hottest venues with some of the likes of QT, The Late Rowik Deep, DJ Mbuso, Harrison Crump and many more. Brett has been working behind the scenes in the Music Production Industry, as an underground producer. He has a collection of House Music projects which were done over the years - to be released in the near future. He is one of the Founders of A.S.C.P Entertainment & Productions - an event and Music creative company in South Africa, based in the Gauteng region. Brett’s DJ aspirations are motivated by other DJ's / Producers like: Manoo, Rocco, Paolo Rocco, Roberto Rodriguez, and many more.
