    Loocal is building the next generation travel agency, a platform through which travelers can create personalized travel and book everything in a single transaction, instead of searching hundreds of websites and millions of reviews. The challenge was to create a relevant brand for a market where technology has lowered entry barriers, and the OTA industry has become increasingly competitive. To become a relevant player for travelers, Loocal wanted a visual language that differentiate them and ensure getting in touch with the emotions of the travelers The key to establishing Loocal’s strategy was understanding the relationship customers have with travel. We conducted consumer research to ensure the brand’s foundation was rooted in the emotions travelers feel and the motivations behind travel-related decision-making. The brand idea, ¨Create your own adventure¨ conveys the idea of ​​traveling freely, evoking the traveling soul and the constant search for exploration, it reflects the fact that traveling is an essential part of life. Loocal is your travel companion, your pocket guide that will allow you to discover the world at your own pace. The design challenge was to translate the brand into a visual idea and a user experience that resonate, impact, and propel its audience to explore.     The entrepreneurs behind this beautiful brand hire me a few years ago to start a project that they had been working on since a trip to Amsterdam where they fell in love with poffertjes, small fried sweet dough puffs accompanied by different toppings that are absolutely delicious. My challenge was to create a brand that was closely related to its Dutch inspiration and that was disruptive and highly attractive. With an innovative product for the Colombian market, I had a blank canvas to combine strategy and design in a striking brand, I reviewed the different reference brands of poffertjes that exist around the world, realizing that some totally discarded their Dutch heritage while others do it in an invasive manner. With the high costs of the leases of the commercial properties in Buenos Aires, a positioning strategy was defined through the presence of the brand in the different design and gastronomy fairs that are held in the city, in addition to the possibility of having an itinerant food truck that every day visit a different neighborhood I design an attractive visual language, where the simplicity of shapes and colors give a fresh and young vibe.     Laura Rodríguez Jewelry approached me looking to update their branding, in the midst of a change in focus in their offer they needed to create a unique brand that would make their new audience fall in love, but that would not leave aside their community of loyal customers who have them accompanied throughout the year To really know what motivates them, I went to their workshop to learn about their processes, products, and services. At first, I could see that their team was optimistic, empathetic, and professional, qualities that were not reflected in his current visual language, offer, and touchpoints. The ILONA brand represents all women, not a particular type, it was sought to create a brand that would celebrate the courageous feminine spirit through timeless pieces that can be worn on any occasion. The strategy developed is focused on bringing luxury closer to a wider audience, showing the use of elegant jewelry pieces that is not only for special occasions and even less a gift that should be expected. ILONA’s minimalist approach seeks to make shopping for jewelry a more intimate experience for women who want durable pieces for everyday wear, who can say «Look, I bought this for myself!» so that they are encouraged to celebrate each day.     The Chicken shack team knock at my door with an exciting challenge to create the first 100% brand focused on chicken burgers in Colombia, in that 2018 artisan beef burger places flooded the streets of Bogotá and the challenge to create in parallel to this movement a totally disruptive brand was really exciting. To find the name, personality, and visual language of the brand, I became a little expert in the world of fried chicken in the United States, learning about its history and the culture formed around this flagship dish of southern cuisine. Thus we come to the word Shack that place where the black community in states such as Alabama or Mississippi began to use African flavors to create this gastronomic icon. From this exploration of shapes, references, and colors, we developed a set of icons that would be the cornerstone of the brand’s visual language, icons that embody the spirit of Chicken Shack and its search for authentic southern swag.
