Looking back in the days, there wasn’t any doubt that music will take special place in Dimitri’s life. Growing up in the Balkans, in the post communist era, the crucial first step came in 2004 when he bought his first professional equipment. Creating buzz on the dancefloor was familiar to him since that moment. After a few years of giging mainly on private parties and after-hour gatherings, he decided that it’s time to give a shot at the bigger scene. For a couple of years his popularity started growing fast, resulting in him being recognized as one of the front runners of the new wave of electronic music artists in Bulgaria. Around 2008 Dimitri Monev opened up a new chapter, influenced by the deep dark beats of old school hip-hop he started to sharing his private thoughts and feelings with music of his own. Aiming at the dancefloors, his third EP (Casper) got released by the Berlin based label Waldliebe Familien and got support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Fabrizio Maurizi, Steve Lawler and more. He continued the trend of his productions as being noticed again by trend setting DJs such as Marco Carola, Luciano, Steve Bug, Shlomi Aber, Gel Abril, Scuba and more. His own production and remixes were released on music outlets as Metroline Limited, ELARUM, Volupso, Wavetech Limited, Malicious Smile, Heisenberg, Serkal, Pins & Needles, Baile Musik, Kosmophono, Act Natural Records, Draft, Natural Beat Records, Monday Morning Records, Antura Records, HOPELESS, Natural Rhythm, Waldliebe Familien, Quanticman Records, Innocent Music, Southpark Records, Konzentrisch Music. He wants is to give his auditory the opportunity to listen high quality electronic music to make them feel and understand it in different way. In that point 2011 partnership was born to continue the story with the establishment of our imprint called - Alboratory. A label described with the same words with which you can describe and find in Dimitri's own sets "from deep tech house to groovy dub techno, always on the run". Nowadays Alboratory had become an important part of the underground culture as is in cooperation with only well-selected various artists around the world. The neverending process of evolution in Dimitri’s world continued in the fall of 2013 with the founding of his latest brainchild — THE NXT GEN, an event agency and vinyl label aiming to promote upcoming stars to the worldwide scene with nights involving artists such as Seth Troxler, East End Dubs, Carlo Lio, Barac, Mahony, Archie Hamilton, Livio & Roby, Ada Kaleh, Francesca Lombardo, Fernando Costantini, Chad Andrew, Randall M, Arapu, Marwan Sabb, Caleb Calloway, Someone Else, Seb Zito, Rossko, Julie Marghilano, Dan Farserelli, David Gtronic, Giovanni Verrina & Germano Ventura, Cristi Cons, Varhat, Lorenzo Chiabotti, Julian Alexander, Guy From Downstairs, Ali Nasser, Fabe, Federico Molinari, Lee Burton and more, the story continue.
