Lavinia Bassi, a.k.a Ephygenia, I was born in Torino in 1984. I started drawing in my childhood. Playing and having fun with pencils and colours I described my own world, made of fairytales, animals, forests and a bit of magic: this was my favourite game. After high school I entered the Academy of fine arts of Torino, where my passion for figurative art and illustration became preponderant. Afterwards I graduated at the International School of Comics in the specific field of illustration. At present I live in Torino, working as a freelance illustrator, mainly with children's books, fairytales, fantasy, naturalistic-scientific illustration, but I also realise logos and graphics, tattoo concepts and classic portraits. I usually work with traditional techniques, digital mediums are left for the final stages. Meanwhile I've got some personal works in progress.
