George Getson
George Getson [also known as Gee Dub] is an American Hip-Hop Recording Artist and Producer. Born in Brooklyn, New York. Getson is inspired by his dad DJ Scratch, 3x Grammy Nominated Muti-Platinum Producer and DJ for Jay Z, 50 Cent, NaS, Puff Daddy, & more. Getson started out DJ’ing at age 2, then started producing and writing his own music at age 9. Getson also has a degree in Graphic design and creates videos, album cover art, websites, and photography.
George Getson joined social media in 2005 to share his music to the world. With his music being popular on MySpace, Getson gained thousands of fans and exposure when his first Viral video hit 130,000+ views after 4 days in 2008. Getson’s first viral video was marked on the “top 10 most viewed Youtube videos of the day” chart. George Getson music has been viewed over 1.5million times all across the world through promoting his music on social media.
George Getson is now the Founder and Owner of WorkLife™, his own brand entity to identify with his music and his slogan “WorkLife or No Life”. Getson has produced for artists such as Lloyd Banks, Cory Gunz, Fred the Godson, Chinx Drugz, KCamp, TSoul, and others.
On April 27th 2014, he released his official solo debut “Meet George Getson” which is available now on Datpiff.com for Free Download. “Meet George Getson” is an album Getson has been working on for more than 2years with over 80+ songs recorded for the project. The sounds of “Meet George Getson” is influenced from music by Jay Z, Daft Punk, Crystal Castles, Coldplay, Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, EPMD, and Marvin Gaye. Getson has released several mixtapes dating back to 2008, with “Meet George Getson” now being his first official debut and introduction to the world. “Meet George Getson” became the trending topic on twitter on the first night of release after being shared over 800+ times through twitter and facebook.
