BRIEF RESUME OF NEIL ANDREW HAIGH I have been involved in the Advertising, Promotion and Marketing industries all my working life. After leaving Art School I worked in Advertising agencies as an air-brush illustrator and graphic designer. During this time much of my work involved producing technical illustrations, exploded views for technical brochures and parts manuals. I started my own Advertising agency where I performed the sales function and fulfilled the creative director, graphic designer and photographic director roles. The agency grew and my duties evolved to sales/client services and managing staff and the business. At all times I had total oversight of the creative function. I then spent 5 years as a Marketing Manager for a large national clothing retail concern where, with responsibility for managing a multi-million Rand budget, I performed the market research function, managed the company’s advertising and instore promotions and the implementation of promotions within the 280 stores country wide. This also involved constant and ongoing liaison with directors of the various departments including footwear, ladies’ clothing, children’s clothing, etc. I have since operated as a freelancer managing the advertising and promotion function for a select group of clients where I handle the concepts, creative services and all related photography. Services offered to clients include concept, design, photography, photographic editing, layouts, final art, design and management of exhibition stands, procurement of branded corporate clothing and gifts as well as management of corporate identity. The majority of my work is performed on the Adobe Creative Suit, and I am highly proficient on the following packages: Adobe Photoshop – Photo editing, image manipulation, colour editing, multiple image combinations, design, illustrations and production of final Hi-Res images. Adobe Illustrator – Design, layout, illustrations, production of print ready art. Adobe InDesign – Production of print ready advertisements, brochures, signage, magazines etc. Adobe Premiere Pro – Design and production of video presentation for corporate and electronic use.
