’ IVORYSERFS have been causing ever growing ripples in the Nottingham music scene for some time, and now, today, they show that they’re not only one of Nottingham’s premier live bands, but scarily, one of best unsigned bands in the UK. Walls of shimmering guitars collide with funky bastard bass lines, in an explosion of noise so mighty fine, it threatens to make all other music seem obsolete. Hints of A Certain Ratio, Ride and even pre smack n’ crack meltdown Happy Mondays all go into the 'SERFS mix, to help create something unique, fresh and effortlessly exhilarating .
As the final waves of reverb fade, I can’t help but think I’m witnessing an historic ‘Sex Pistols at Manchester’s Lesser Free Trade Hall’ type moment. Yes folks, IVORYSERFS are that good, and given half a chance, are going to take over the world.’’

‘I’d put IVORYSERFS head to head with the cream of East London any day of the week, safe in the knowledge that Nottingham’s best kept secret would win hands down…they sound like nothing else this city has to offer.’
\Dom Gourlay of Drowned in Sound//
