Julian is just 34 years old, but he has already released four spectacular concept albums. He is an innovative member of the Nordic indie scene, who in recent years has composed grand, works for the big formats. Now he wants to dive into more sectacular theatre work and film music.
Norwegian musician, composer and recording artist, born in Bergen in Norway in 1981. At the age of 17 he started out as a session musician/composer, and since then he has recorded four solo albums. He has toured in Norway and overseas both with his own material and as a member of everything from rock bands to symphony orchestras. He has collaborated with a wide range of recording artists on numerous projects, both as a composer and as a live musician. Julian has also written the score for a number of short films, including Bobbie Peers’ Palm d’Or-winning short Spandex Man.
In 2003 Julian won Spellemannprisen (the Norwegian Grammy equivalent) for his album Waffy Town, and in 2008 he was nominated again for Rocket Ship Love. Julian has received rave reviews for his work, including his prize-winning compositions for stage productions, and he never stops working on the next big project.
