Composer.Bandleader.Arranger Coming from a musical family, Jared was always watching and helping his father at his gigs. Having rehearsals at the families home, his father would always let him tinker with the instruments. Eventually, his parents noticed his keen ear and interest in the arts. They enrolled him in Alto Saxophone lessons from early middle school to high school. His early influences include his parents Latin, R & B, Blues, Funk and Jazz records. Like many guitarists, it wasn't until he heard Jimi Hendrix that he decided to divert his energy into life long guitar and music proficiency. Jared is currently pursuing dual Bachelors degrees in Jazz Composition and Guitar Performance -with a minor in Recording Technology. He has studied with world class musicians such as: Joe Lano, Jake Langley, Uli Geisendorfer, Nate Kimball, Dave Smith, Gary Queen and Jarrett Myers. Jared has written band charts/arrangments for a wide variety of styles of music including Guitar Chord Melodies,Big band Jazz ensemble, String Quartets, Hip-Hop,Funk ,Blues, R&B and Jazz bands. Recently, Jared has transcribed and published numerous Jazz and Blues guitar solos including: John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Kenny Burrell, B. B. king, Freddy King, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Barney Kessell, Reiner Baas and many more. He currently writes and performs with local band Machine Gun Dojo.
