Juliett Rose
The multi-talented Juliett Rose is a female recording artist/singer/songwriter/DJ and dancer who resides in Los Angeles California. Juliett Rose is a well studied international vocalist and performing artist who has trained with some of the best in the world. Juliett Rose’s bold and upbeat style incorporates various pop, EDM,alternative and ambient sounds. She studied vocals and music composition with world renowned artist/vocalist/violinist/producer Shenkar for several years and often appears as a featured vocalist and performing artist in his show. She was the first artist to put out music on Shenkar’s independent record label SRI Music and has been releasing multiple singles since 2007. Most recently, Juliett just released her six song pop solo EP “Children of the Night”with detailed lyrical content and EDM influences. Her EP is currently out worldwide on all digital outlets such as itunes, rhapsody etc. Juliett Rose is also known as a Dj and goes by the name DJ J Rose. She performs her original music live and spins at elite and popular nightclubs in Los Angeles with the Ivy League Plus Society Tips Events and has been doing so for more then four years. Juliett Rose sometimes performs side by side with the extremely talented DJ Kid knuckles who is also a SRI Music artist and who is an International DJ opening for KoRn. Juliett Rose and Kid Knuckles are married and currently in the studio working on a new EP band project to be released this year with exciting new material. Juliett Rose is also Co founder of the independent record label SRI Music (distributed by Beatport) along with Shenkar and Kid Knuckles and has been since 2006. She is also part owner in the multi media company Spectrum Production which her and her husband (artist Kid Knuckles) founded in 2011.
Juliett Rose was exposed to music and art at a very early age. By the time she was three years old she was studying vocals, tap,ballet, piano and guitar. Both her parents were extremely talented professional musicians but like most starving artist found it hard to balance their art and music lifestyle. Juliett Rose remembers her childhood as being somewhat chaotic and unstable having to move around a lot, this is when Juliett Rose began writing songs on her guitar which expressed hardships and struggle. Finding comfort in the songs she wrote, Juliett Rose further pursued her music education and attended Millikan Performing Arts School in Los Angeles California where she played several lead roles such as (Dorthy) in the musical “The Wiz” and also (Rosie) in Bye Bye Birdie.Her music teachers picked up on Juliett Rose’s musical talents and asked her to represent the school by singing with Hit rock group “Yes” at the Universal Amphitheater along with a few other chorus members.The following year she attended Hamilton Music Academy in Los Angeles where she studied vocals and dance. At age fourteen she took a dance internship at Millennium Dance studios in North Hollywood and studied Hip Hop and Jazz dance with some of the leading music industry choreographers such as Wade Robson and Shane Sparks. While at Millennium Dance Studios she was suddenly approached by a music manager/songwriter Kimberly Armstrong who was putting together an all girl pop group. Juliett Rose was then the lead singer in the Group “Why ask Why” a four piece pop girl group and recorded their first demo that summer at Crossroads studio in Hollywood. After a few years performing and recording with the girl groups, Juliett Rose decided to pursue a solo career. She started working with producer Poet Named Life known for his work with with the Black Eyed Peas and Jerold Thompson A&R of Hidden Beach Records (Jill Scott). In 2005 Juliett Rose’s music career suddenly took an abrupt turn when she met the internationally renowned artist/ singer/songwriter/producer Shenkar. Juliett Rose then became the first artist on his independent Label SRI music . A year later, Juliett was featured as a vocalist on pop single “Are You Real” from Shenkar’s album Open the Door which was co written by Shenkar and hit pop producer Patrick Leonard ( songwriter/producer for Madonna ). The Single “ Are you Real” was later used as the opening song for the film Strangers Online directed by John Huckert. Juliett featured on Shenkar’s next four consecutive albums Open the Door,Face to Face, In a Box and Revelation. These albums also featured hit pop producers and artist such as Randy Jackson (American Idol) Wendy and Lisa (Prince) Natasha Beddingfield, Pat Monahan (Train), Johnathan Davis(KoRn)and many more. Juliett Rose continued on her path to success as she toured and performed with Shenkar on the Johnathan Davis (lead singer of KoRn) “Alone I Play” Tour. In 2007-08 Juliett Rose released her first solo single “Take a Chance” worldwide digitally on Sri Music. A video for her single “Take a Chance” Directed by Sebastien Paquet (videographer for Korn) was released soon after on youtube. Juliett Rose continued to record with SRI Music and released a vocal duo trance song with fellow SRI music artist Shenkar called “Sky”. The single is currently out on Juliett’s new EP “Children of the Night” and Shenkar’s newest EDM album “Revelation” out on beatport. The EDM trance song “Sky” is an international dance track with amazingly beautiful vocal melodies and lyrics making it an incredible dance tune with an awesome trance techno beat. Juliett was then asked to make a cameo appearance singing the trance song on an upcoming independent film project directed by Steve Spell. The summer of 2010 brought yet another major music break through when Juliett Rose collaborated on singles “Fade in Fade Out” and “Strong Team” with multitalented artist Kid Knuckles who is also an artist on SRI Music and is also the opening DJ for Korn. Juliett, Kid knuckles and Shenkar started to work together on various music projects forming SRI Music independent record label, writing producing and releasing original pop music. In 2012 Juliett Rose and Kid Knuckles married and started a DJ Duo, performing under the name DJ J Rose at LA’s most popular night clubs in Los Angeles such as, Confidential, Las Palmas, Voyeur, and most recently Bootsy Bellows.
Besides Juliett Rose being an incredible singer/songwriter /DJ, she is an amazing dancer and choreographer as well and is involved with many dance productions including a dance performing group called “ The Good Girls” which she founded in 2012 and performs often with her dance group the “Good Girls” at elite Los Angeles clubs. Juliett Rose has also been featured as a dancer in Kid Knuckles “Take You Away” music video directed by Jamie Mitchell out on Youtube.One of Juliett's main talents and passions happen to be songwriting. She started writing music when she was fifteen and has been actively writing pop songs since. Juliett has been a active songwriter on all of her released music as well as a writing partner with Kid Knuckles and Shenkar on SRI Music. Juliett Rose is a featured singer/ songwriter on Shenkar's last four consecutive POP/EDM albums “Revelation” (just released on Beatport 2013) along with his past albums “In a Box”, “ Face to Face” and “Open the Door”. It has been a good year for Juliett as she has just recently released her solo EP “Children of the Night” digitally worldwide on SRI Music independent label. Juliett was avidly involved as a writer and producer of her solo EP and is currently working in the studio on her next EP which is also Pop/Dance/EDM album and a collaborative project with KidKnuckles.
