Until I got into documentary filmmaking and video production, I worked for years in customer service, marketing and communication. This background has shown me the importance of the customer, knowing your audience and getting the message across to the viewer in the best way possible. After varios audiovisual projects I started worked as an video editor in Softonic, a software company, where i was responsible of the complete video production: Writing scripts, filming and editing software reviews and weekly videos about apps, including screencast. It also required working together with editorial and the design and marketing (social media) team. I finished the documentary “New Roots” as a co-producer and worked in all parts of the production cycle. From scripting, filming and editing to post-production. The film was screened at BTV twice. Since then I have started working freelance in different projects. I finished a feature length documentary about mining in El Salvador and Guatemala and a couple of shorter ones including a music and a travel documentary. I have been working on a wide range of video projects, from simple text videos for mobile, to event coverage and more complex projects. I am a native German speaker, and speak English and Spanish fluently.
