I am a recent graduate of DePaul University with a BFA in graphic design with a minor in marketing. My interest in graphic arts stems all the way back to my childhood and I have pursued that passion all the way into my adulthood. There is no greater feeling for me than completing a piece of design work whether it be for my own personal use or something for a client, I strive to design everyday. Not only do I have a passion for graphic design, but I also am extremely interested in the field of marketing. I have completed internships at a packaging design firm and a marketing information company. Through these experiences and through my work as the head designer for The Center for Intercultural Programs at DePaul, I have come to see firsthand the relationship and impact that design has on marketing. In order to gain a better understanding of the interaction of graphic design and marketing, I decided to declare and earn a marketing minor at DePaul. I want to gain a more thorough understanding of how a business functions, but not just on the creative end. My goal is to make the biggest impact in my role. I want to understand marketing plans and goals for a company so that I can better design pieces that fit into that plan and make sure that everything I am doing is developed in the best interest of the company. I am self motivated and hard-working with great communication skills that I have developed through my interactions in extra-curricular activities here at DePaul. In addition to working part-time at the Intercultural Center for the past 3 years and my internships, I just finished serving as the President for the Phi Kappa Psi Chapter at DePaul, the largest philanthropic fraternity on campus. I have been an active member of my chapter since my first semester at DePaul, and I take great pride in the national recognition our chapter has received for our high levels of community service we perform around the Chicago area as well as the outstanding academics we achieve. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me. Please contact me so I may learn a little more about your graphic design needs.
