Ontario Ransom (stage name Tario) was born October 20th, 1992, in the suburbs of Orange County, California. At a young age, he would randomly rap and perform in front of family and friends. After getting multiple compliments on his skills, he realized rapping and performing music was something he wanted to pursue further. He wrote his first song and rap collaboration at age 14 with his good friend Michael Robinson – who was a music producer at the time. In October, 2010, Ontario realized his dream of performing professionally could become a reality when his good friend Denzel Montgomery (UPM artist Yung Prod) introduced him to Eric “Ewill Williams, CEO of Unlimited Production Music (UPM).
Ontario became an avid fan and follower of UPM artists and often attended gigs with the group. When Ontario asked Denzel about becoming a UPM artist, he told him to “Just keep up the good work and my manager will notice you”. Eventually, Ontario presented song concepts to UPM Manager Ernest Williams (aka “Mr. Williams”) and discussed the possibility of putting Ontario on the UPM roster. Mr. Williams saw and heard the potential in Ontario; and had Eric worked with him to produce Tario’s first single – Fast Lane.
“Tario brings a unique sound and skill to the group.” — Mr. Williams (UPM Manager)
