My Name is Robin Elwell and i am a young ambitious musician who loves his Acoustics and folk music. 10 years ago, at a wedding, I saw A great Irish Folk band called ‘The Huckle Berries’. I was completely inspired by their stage presence and the ability to get everyone dancing and into the rhythm of what they were playing was truly mesmerising for me at the time. It made me feel alive. As soon as i had seen this band, i was kindly handed down my mum’s Fiddle. I got Straight into Folk fiddle lessons and that is where my interest in music was born. I had later discovered the Guitar through watching my older brothers band and always wanted to be like him. I then dropped the Fiddle over time as i became obsessed with my acoustic guitar but had taken the folk genre from my fiddle and moved it into my voice. I went to the Steiner School in Ringwood and enjoyed being taught Poetry. Because of this, I have found that putting poetry into song, can give off moods, rather than just the spoken words being pleasing to the ears. At the age of 13 i moved to Ringwood secondary school (A state school) which was a big step for me as there was a lot of academic subjects that were new to me. I had been diagnosed with Dyslexia and struggled with the Theory in anything. The way i play music and remember songs and tunings is purely based through sounds of notes rather than reading manuscript or tab music. A lot of my inspiration for my songs comes from being interested in human behaviour and the way people act around others, being under certain pressures and feeling a wide range of emotion towards different people. My aim with my music is to help people channel the feelings that other people have for each other positively (wether those feelings are good or bad) and raise awareness of the way people act and why they do it and to keep an open mind so that we can accept these emotions and keep our world peaceful. I am also very interested in acting and theatre as my dad is an actor, but over the last couple of years, I have become sure that music is my passion and I hope to continue my adventure in exploring the world, meeting new faces and sharing the music i have to offer. Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I wish you all well on your Adventures. Much Love, Robin Contact me via my email: _Email not available.
