I’m a freelance graphic designer who loves to use illustration to bring designs to life. When designing new brands or building on already established projects I make sure I have a good story to tell or a meaningful message. I feel this brings life to my work and most importantly keeps me and my client curious about the possibilities we can explore. As a person I am a keen learner and will always go above and beyond to help my team out. Design can be a demanding monster at times but infinitely rewarding when brave enough to discuss with others and patient enough to work until the golden solution is found. I have exceptional organisational, time keeping and detail spotting skills - all of which I feel I gained from my degree in English Literature. I started my design career as a student at Shillington College which taught me design skills in an intensive and hugely passionate environment which I feel set my expectations for the design world. I went on to refine my skills through freelancing which taught me a lot about how to deal with clients and the pressures of deadlines. However to develop my technical skills and to experience agency life first hand I joined 442 Design - a studio that specialises in interior design. Through my time there I worked on projects that ranged from hotel wayfinding, restaurant print projects, digital campaigns and street art projects such as Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now I work part time as a graphic designer in Heedi Design, which is a studio who looks to help clients involved in social good projects - these clients include WWF, SAMH, Scottish Book Trust and many more. I continue to grow my freelance business on the side using story-orientated concepts and bright, colourful illustration.
