I was contracted by an IT specialist to create a logo design for his new business. We collaborated on what the name and idea should be, and it took a while for us to come up with it but we eventually landed on "COGNitO Cat" with the picture of a cat in an PI type of suit. I wanted to make it a simple design so I did a two-color split design with something bold as the background. My brother's volleyball team commissioned me to do a logo design for their own team: Lagspike. He told me the color scheme and basically said "roll with it". Usually I know people have an image in their heads when approaching a designer and asking them for a commission, but I usually have an idea in my own head whenever I hear their company name or group name.
So I rolled with a girl spiking down on a volleyball and glitching.
