A minimal, techno & house travel agent Rui de la Penha is a Portuguese Dj based in Oslo. With techno as his main reference and after moving to England in 2006 de la Penha started to play in clubs creating his own mixing style and refining his Dj skills with the reference of Mr. Bristow (UK), a renowned scratch Dj that became his tutor and reference for almost a year. Since 2009 de la Penha has established himself in Oslo playing in some of the best club venues as BLÅ, Jaeger, Gudruns, Fisk&Vilt, The Villa, Turkish Delight, Skansen and Sikamikaniko sharing the Dj booth with Dj’s as Roland Lifjell, Christian Fisch, Vinny Vilbass, No Dial Tone among others. In 2011 de la Penha held a residency at the club venue Blå (Oslo) with his concept of Miniklubb where minimal and techno were explored on a weekly basis. During 2012 de la Penha has held a monthly residency at Fisk & Vilt (Oslo) with his concept Restless Minds, where minimal tech and house were the main music genres. After paying in Austria, Spain, Denmark and Germany Rui de la Penha made several appearances during 2013 and 2014 at major clubs as Jaeger, Gudruns and The Villa, as well as hosting, along with Aleksander Vassdal, the club nights Playground at Blå. In 2014 de la Penha joined Ivaylo and Slammer at their Té Dans sessions every saturday at Jaeger - Oslo. In 2016 Rui de la Penha is back to the venues Gudruns, MIR, Fisk&Vilt and Skuret while hosting his own club nights at the Kantine-Vaterland, where de la Penha has a new flourishing concept since Februar 2016. Rui de la Penha plays a blend of minimal, techno and house music which tends to taking off his audience on a singular musical experience with his sets.
