Satori is a musical performance artist, poet, author, and Everywherian, who just returned home from her 8 year journey to play music on all 7 continents before turning 30.
She’s now writing stories and songs about the journey and dedicated to sharing her love and gifts with the world.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, She specialises in the delivery of musical comedy, combined with costumes, spoken word, and inspirational, uplifting music. The music is often improvised in style, as Satori has performed and trained as a Theatre Sports Improviser in in a melodic, accoustic &, at times, comedic style. She is rumoured to make the heart giggle:)
Satori shares her love and light through the fusion of singing, rapping, playing musical instruments, on-the-spot improvising, and wearing funny costumes. She has trained internationally under exceptional teachers and organisations in Melbourne, Australia, San Francisco, Chicago, Portland, and her birthplace, Indianapolis, USA.
Musical influences are Satori’s melting pot of family members. Their Appalachian, Native American, and Irish bloodlines, as well as stepparents’ sense of humour gave her the foundation that has morphed into the performer she is today.
Often collaborating with other musicians she meets on the road, she records in shacks, by rivers, on the street, or in boats, and uploading them right here, raw and in the moment, preserved with a smile.
Satori is currently finishing an 8 year project to travel to all 7 continents of the world and getting paid to do so before turning 30 years old. She ticks off the final continent, Antarctica, as she performs on a voyage in March 2015.
Stay tuned for her next project: A book about her travels, accompanied by songs on the road with friends:)
