"It's been a long time coming" says the philly native as he pulls on a wine tipped black and mild. "I mean this thing with me being a artist almost didn't happen."Scotch recalls recording and releasing the album once upon a time in Philadelphia along with long time friend and fellow member of their group dlk Steven "Shame" MIller. The album flew under the radar due to lack of promotion. "We was dealing with real life. Bills needed to be paid money had to be made. It's as simple as that. Music was secondary. "On July 8th 2007 Steven shame miller was gunned down by Philadelphia police officers. Over 85 shots were fired and shame was hit over 20 times and died upon arrival at university of Pennsylvania hospital. "I was numb when I received the news. I mean that was my brother my heart.After shame was killed I wanted nothing to do with hip hop period." Scotch took a three year hiatus from music and focused on his relationship with his wife and two daughters. In 2010 he began writing and recording demos for artists. "The itch came back. That feeling I felt before whenever I was involved with music returned." Scotch began working with a fellow philly mc/producer Tim doggbeats Jones and another mc/producer Aaron skinny joey lord. "These dudes got me back on my feet now I'm ready to get back in the ring." Balancing both of his talents as an artist and as a songwriter and co founder of the songwriting team the go. Scotch is ready to hit the industry with a knockout combination. "First imma jab em with the mixtape/album Extinct. Then imma follow it up with....man yall don't even know what's gon hit yall. Just get ready."
