Beginning from my very first musical memories, the fusion of structure and spontaneity in music has captivated me. My journey through music has been both a personal passion and a professional pursuit. I hold dual Master’s degrees in Stringed Instruments and Music Theory and Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, paired with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Brigham Young University. My professional chapter as a freelance composer began in May 2022. Based in the vibrant city of San Francisco, I delve into the depths of melody and harmony to create compositions that speak both to contemporary sensibilities and classical foundations. Each piece is a narrative, a labyrinth of sounds where every note counts and every silence speaks volumes. Whether working on a solo project or collaborating with other artists, I strive to forge unique auditory experiences that resonate. I have extensive experience writing in all styles acoustically and electronically, with both traditional notation as well as cutting-edge sound engineering platforms. Parallel to my life as a composer is my role at Little Mission Studio, where I’ve been a faculty member since August 2020. Here, I wear the hat of mentor, guiding over 50 students weekly in individual and group instruction for Strings, Piano, and in Composition. Teaching fuels my creativity, as each student brings a new perspective, challenging me to rethink traditional methodologies and adapt to diverse learning styles. It’s a dance of give and take, where I share my knowledge and in return, draw inspiration from their growth. Music is not just about arranging notes; it's about arranging lives. As I continue on this dual path of composition and education, I am eager to explore further collaborations and innovations that push the boundaries of music. Let’s connect and create experiences that will echo into the future!
