This project was inspired by The Uchiha Hideout from the anime Naruto. I was really stoked at creating this from scratch without a reference photo. I wanted to make sure I captured the vibe of The Uchiha Hideout without imitating it far too much. Towards the end, as I created the necklace, the story started to develop in my mind. The necklace is passed down through generations of his family. It contains a power only accessible to those within his bloodline. However, he was raised to believe he was an outcast. Adopted into his family because the married couple were unable to have children of their own. Moments before his mother, only living relative, passed away of a severe illness, she whispered to him the location of a very important box. She took a key from her purse and placed it in his palm. Later that night, he found the box she had spoken of and used the key to unlock it. Confused by what he saw, an ordinary necklace with the family crest. He pulled it out of the box. As he did, a sudden burst of energy surged through his body. He had heard the rumors from his cousin’s about the hidden power of the family he was adopted into. However, this necklace shouldn’t have activated when he pulled it out of the box. After all, he didn’t come from the same line of blood. What does this mean? Was he adopted? Why does the necklace respond to his spirit? Furthermore, if his adoptive mother’s dying wish was for him to have the necklace, why? She must’ve known it was but an ordinary necklace for a son who she did not give birth to herself. Only she had the answers he seeked.
