    This is an app for people who would like to learn more about music, but aren’t trying to learn an instrument, sing, etc. Essentially a music appreciation class for real people. A class at their fingertips, with genres that fall both inside and outside of ‘classical’ music. Problem: People love music and want to experience more of it, but most of us don’t have time or resources to dedicate to taking private lessons on an instrument. Solution: Genre Genius gives users a chance to learn about a wide variety of musical styles at their leisure. Each genre’s page lets a user listen to examples of that style, read about what differentiates the style from others, and watch a quick video (3-5’) that delves into historical context and gives clues about what to listen to (e.g. ‘In this orchestral piece from 1916, listen for this melody that comes back over and over. Problem: Most training apps on the market currently specialize in either delivering content (whether streaming or offline) or monitoring progress of training schedules.     Problem: Ensamble ATR’s carriers need to be able to communicate with third parties 24/7, but are often dependent on Ensamble ATR employees to facilitate that communication because of language barriers. At times, these carriers need to pick up and/or deliver shipments during odd hours (e.g. 03:00am on a Saturday). During these shipments, Ensamble ATR’s dispatchers, who often serve as interpreters for the carriers, are not available to communicate with shippers, receivers, or brokers. Solution: I created an app that empowers carriers to communicate with all necessary parties at any time of day.
