One of my biggest strengths is taking a large amount of complex information and distilling it down into bite-sized pieces. As an ex-collegiate athlete, I believe effective communication that is consistent, clear and concise is key to achieving a collective goal. I have refined my written and verbal communication skills through diverse experience in private, public and non-profit sectors. I have held lead roles in operations management and communications strategy at every company and organization I've worked for, which has required me to develop various kinds of professional, technical and creative content and material for various types of audiences. This includes but is not limited to: newsletters, published reports, proposals, presentations, technical documents, press releases and social media. I have led and collaborated on projects and initiatives related to gender equality, social justice, political advocacy, community building, climate change, sustainability and green technology. Outside of work, this subject matter is my lived experience and a personal passion of mine. Studying race and public policy at UC Berkeley as a complement to my main coursework in environmental economics created a foundation for my ongoing educational journey in adulthood. Having worked so closely with executives, I have built a career on being adaptable and putting together high quality work under tight deadlines, often with little guidance or oversight.
