Mark Burden is the co founder, main recording engineer and producer for the new, 'Free The Spirit Recording Studios', in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Marcus Upbeat who owns the world famous,' Blue Beat Records ' called him ' Mr. ideas man ', and Neil Clarkson (aka Clink) fellow band member and owner of Audiozone rehearsal rooms stated, ' I've got an Idea for you, has become a bit of a catchphrase for Mark '. Mark has the ability to get you excited about a project or recording session and his enthusiasm and commitment rubs off on you. Mark is a multi-instrumentalist and has a flair for creating catchy, haunting melodies and harmonies and he is one of those people that can get a tune out of anything, even the kitchen sink. Mark is forty-five years old and has been playing the guitar, singing and recording since the age of ten, which is when he fell in love with the guitar and his old two decks tape machine. He is currently working and performing on a new album with Marcus Upbeat who recorded with Lee Scratch Perry on the ' Battle of Armagideon ', album back in 1986. Mark is a gregarious and positive character and performs regularly around the UK festival circuit with his reggae band, Mental Block. He is also touring with Marcus upbeat's band, 'Marcus & The Microdots', as the bass player. He is often heard saying, ' don't get depressed and downhearted, life is just a dream.
