‘These guys are gonna be mega’ was John Cooper Clarke’s reaction to Colchester four-piece Ordinary Noise. Their music has featured on BBC Radio 2, on Steve Lamacq's and Jarvis Cocker’s shows on BBC Radio 6, East Village Radio NY, and they have also recorded live sessions for both BBC Introducing Suffolk and BBC Essex. Music Industry Consultant Ian Titchener listed theirs amongst his favourite gigs of 2014, alongside Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltry. They have recently supported Jeffrey Lewis and the Jrams, played on the main stage at Hop Farm Festival 2014 and played at the Great Escape Festival 2015. Their latest EP ‘You Are Here’ is now available on itunes.
‘You Are Here’ is sprawling and overwhelming. Shaky guitar lines fade between rushing drums and anxious tremolo lead lines’.
Consequence of Sound
‘If Ordinary Noise continue making music this impressive they’ll be a whole lot bigger than a dot on the musical landscape.’
'It is a rarity to find such a fresh band with such obvious authenticity and broad, retrospective lyrics.'
‘Like nothing you’ve heard before, indeed. Effortless and natural, and every track is packed with variety both brazen and discreet.’
