THE ROLE
Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive part time Photo Asset Coordinator to join the New Media team in Calabasas, CA. We are seeking a Photo Asset Coordinator to support the functions of Insomniac’s Post-Production department and the primary focus will be on digital asset coordination for all photos throughout the calendar year. This is not a remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and maintain the ingest, organization and searchability of Insomniac’s photography archives in both Dropbox and WIDEN
- Sort images, delivering and tagging metadata on each image to a high-degree of detail for approx. 1000+ images per event
- Partner closely with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure quality control standards are maintained
- Utilize Photo Mechanic to perform organizational operations to the delivered images
- Set-up title folder structures, permissions, and use access for asset management tools
- Perform photo manipulation and retouching on delivered images as needed to enhance imagery
- Curate, package and fulfill requests for images
- Acknowledge and uphold content security standards for sharing and see that all prepared assets go through the proper image release procedures
- Develop and update program documentations, wikis and provide inputs to monthly or quarterly business review documents
- Other special projects and tasks as needed and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years’ experience in marketing, production or creative department or company
- 2+ years experience in Photography and Photo Editing required
- Advanced understanding of Dropbox, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop required
- Advanced knowledge of Photo Mechanic, WIDEN, or other DAM preferred
- Photo DIT experience preferred
- General knowledge of NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems
- Ability to troubleshoot any system or computing issues
- Advanced understanding of digital file-organization
- General knowledge of camera gear
- Must have a clean criminal and driving record, valid driver’s license, passport, and car insurance
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- May work in drastic temperature climates working onsite at our events
- Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
