Location: Simsbury, CT

Contract: Temporary, Full-time, 3 Month Contract

This is a temporary position from May 2023 through August 2023.

Walker’s is looking for someone to be responsible for our digital footprint, including our School website, social media presence, and graphic design. Working as the publishing agency for admission, academics, advancement, athletics, and communications and marketing, you will manage and protect the School’s brand identity. By managing the School’s social media platforms, website structure, and digital photo archives, you will assist each department in creating opportunities for positive exposure.

Duties

● Wordpress website design and management.

● Content generation for and management of multiple social media platforms and accounts.

● In-house design of institutional print and digital collateral and publications.

● Write and proofread web news articles, weekly school newsletters, and mass communications.

● On-campus event photography.

● Digital photo archive management.

Minimum Qualifications

● Associate’s degree with coursework in marketing, design, or related field.

● Minimum of two years experience working in a similar or related role or equivalent educational experience.

● Knowledge of content management systems.

● Knowledge of social media platforms and social media trends.

● Knowledge of fundamentals of photography, camera use, and photo editing.

● Ability to meet deadlines and work independently and safely with minimal supervision.

● Ability to use a keyboard and other technology devices for sustained periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

● Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in marketing, graphic design, photography, or equivalent training/experience in a related field.

● Experience in an independent school setting.

● Strong digital imaging and design skills with a proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.

● Knowledge of Blackbaud/Veracross and Wordpress.
